It definitely does feel good to be back in civilisation, with good food, a comfy bed and hot water. Budget traveling in Mexico is an interesting experience.. one place my girlfriend Saraya and I stayed in had previously been under water a month earlier!! But, I can't complain.. we did ask for their $20 economy room. Lots of great times, but happy to be back, and ready to get to work. Music is work. But it's much more enjoyable than the jobs we have. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy serving the public. I like working in the public services sector, and I like people. But, it can tend to get a bit dull, repetitive, and I wouldn't be there if they didn't pay me.
So anyways, we got a gig coming up on March 15th.. Westcoast Wednesdays at the Backstage Lounge on Granville Island. Nick Ogawa will also be performing that night and hopefully accompanying us, so don't miss it! Also, if you have a quick sec.. check out this Vancouver Sun article about the new online music media "Project Opus" that our picture made it into.
Cheers, Ryan
